Privacy Policy.
Kaufi is a shopping list app. Your lists stay on your device. I don't collect anything.
Effective May 2, 2026 Updated May 2, 2026
The short version — Kaufi stores your shopping lists and any icons you choose for items entirely on your device. I do not collect, receive, upload, transmit, or share your data. Kaufi has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.
Yinglak Seehamontree ("I," "me," or "my") operates the Kaufi mobile application (the "App"), a shopping list app for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
What the App accesses
Photos library
The App requests permission to access your device's Photos library so that you can choose a photo to use as a custom sticker for an item or list, alongside the option to use a standard emoji or a Genmoji.
When you select a photo:
- The photo is used only as a sticker for the item or list you assign it to.
- A copy of the photo is stored locally on your device as part of the App's data.
- The photo is not uploaded to any server, transmitted to any third party, or used for any other purpose.
You can revoke Photos access at any time through Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Kaufi. You can also choose "Limited Access" in iOS to grant access only to specific photos.
Emojis and Genmojis
Standard emojis and Genmojis selected within the App are stored as part of your shopping list data on your device. Genmoji generation is handled entirely by Apple's on-device system; I do not control or receive any data from that process.
Shopping list content
Your shopping lists, items, and any associated stickers or icons are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. I do not have access to this content.
What the App doesn't do
Kaufi does not collect personal information. Specifically, the App does not:
- Require an account or sign-in
- Collect your name, email, location, or contact information
- Track your activity within the App for analytics or advertising
- Use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs
- Connect to any server operated by me
- Sell or share any data with third parties
Crash and diagnostic data
If you have enabled "Share With App Developers" in your iOS or macOS settings, Apple may share anonymous crash and diagnostic reports with me through Apple's standard developer tools. This data does not identify you personally and is used only to diagnose bugs and improve App stability. You can disable this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Data security
Because your data stays on your device, its security is governed by your device's built-in protections (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, device encryption). I recommend keeping your devices up to date and using a device passcode.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your rights
Because I do not collect personal information, there is generally no personal data on my side to access, correct, or delete. To remove your shopping list data, you can delete items within the App or uninstall the App from your device.
If you have questions about your rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, you can contact me at the email below.
Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if a future version of the App adds iCloud sync or new features. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Updated" date. Material changes will also be communicated within the App where appropriate.
